MG Motor India said it sold 4.13 units in July 2022 as it continued to face supply chain issues in the country. Sales were down 5% year over year and around 11% month over month. The automaker had reported sales of 4,503 units in June 2022, while in July 2021 total sales stood at 4,225 units.
The company said its production continued to be affected by supply chain constraints, although it was working to increase supplies and meet customer demand for its models.
The company says the MG Hector remains its best-seller, with demand for the ZS EV also increasing
The Hector remains MG’s best-selling model in India, with the company saying the ZS EV is also seeing “positive momentum”. The ZS EV facelift was the brand’s last new/updated model launch in India earlier this year, with the company now gearing up to launch the next-generation Hector in India.

The company recently teased its next-generation midsize SUV in India, revealing that it will be packaged in an even bigger central touchscreen. The new unit will measure 14 inches and be the largest portrait-oriented system installed on a car in India from factory. The company has confirmed a launch before the end of the year and the new SUV will be sold alongside the current model.
